I am so fascinated at just how straightforward it is to make utilising one of these gadgets.

The results are perhaps not nearly as fine as with pasta made by hand, but they certainly beat packets of pasta available in the malls.

You are rewarded with pasta that is great and so smooth hands down it knocks those shop bought dry pasta packets I buy out of the park each and every time!

Get the following for a simple egg pasta dough

one hundred and fifty grams of flour
two eggs
A little salt

In the center make a dip. Open the eggs directly into hole. Add a touch of salt. Get started with beating the eggs with a fork, slowly pulling the flour from inside the walls of the dip. Once the paste thickens, carry on mixing with your hands. Add in as much flour as is practical until the dough forms a ball. It will be lumpy. If it sticks to your hands, add a bit more flour.

With the imperia pasta machine mounted on the worksurface set the rollers on their widest setting. Pull apart a part of dough the size of an orange. Place the excess dough between a couple of soup bowls and keep them from drying out too much. Place the dough through the rollers. Fold it in half, end to end, and feed it through again about 7-8 times, turning it and folding it over after a kneading. Our dough should be smooth and mostly evenly rectangle-shaped. Lay this out upon the lightly floured work surface, and do it again with all the other dough, broken into segments around the same size

Now the dough is rectangular, you'll need simply pass it through the remaining roller thickness settings once.

Now cut the pasta sheets into the shapes or strips you're looking for. You can obtain accessories for the device to perform this if you want to or perhaps you could do it manually whichever suits you best.

I usually cut mine in to strips as it's simpler to hang whilst drying. Make the most of the rear of a chair for this purpose because it generally seems to work well. You can use a couple of coat wardrobe hangers as an alternative I guess.

And there you have it - all ready for that scrumptious Italian pasta meal you had in mind. You should really notice the difference!
